MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
KRISTINA MULLEN
WHERE IT ALL STARTED...
Growing up in Colorado, Kristina has always had a passion for horses. Signing up for a horse camp when she was 10 years old started her ongoing equestrian career. Throughout the years, if she wasn't riding or volunteering at a barn, she would sketch horses in the margins of her notebook to match her countless assignments that reflected her love for her equine friends.
FOLLOWING HER DREAMS...
In Colorado, she received the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) level 1 certification along with multiple ribbons through the Colorado Hunter/Jumper Association (CHJA). Working at multiple barns, she gained a lot of experience with trail rides, equine behavior, training, and teaching lessons. When she got accepted into Utah State University, she picked up and moved to Cache Valley. During her time at Utah State University, she has competed on the Utah State University English Equestrian Team and competed with other riders across the Midwest. Taking classes in both disciplines at Utah State University makes her unique to be able to teach and try new things to match her student's passions.
Kristina purchased Kashmir in 2017 and has trained to be competitive in the Utah Hunter/Jumper Association (UHJA). She has completed all the training for the lesson horses so far and is so proud of all of her equine coworkers!
Kristina has been teaching lessons for 10 years and counting with her students riding on with honors and rewards to not only their riding but horsemanship too.
WHERE SHE IS NOW...
Kristina graduated from Utah State University in December 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Dairy and Veterinary Sciences, with a strong emphasis on Equine Science and Management.
Teaching lessons full-time to various levels and ages of students has always been a passion for her.
Kristina aspires to create a welcoming, knowledgeable equine community where the horse comes first!
