MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
KRISTINA MULLEN
Early Passion & Education
Kristina’s passion for horses began at the age of 10 when she attended her first horse camp in Colorado. From there, she immersed herself in the equestrian world, riding, volunteering at barns, and channeling her love for horses into every aspect of her life.
Kristina’s dedication led her to achieve her Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) certification and earn multiple ribbons through the Colorado Hunter/Jumper Association (CHJA). Her experiences working at various barns allowed her to gain invaluable knowledge in trail rides, equine behavior, training, teaching lessons, and barn and equine management.
When Kristina was accepted into Utah State University, she relocated to Cache Valley to further her education and equestrian career. During her time at Utah State, she competed on the English Equestrian Team, honing her skills against talented riders across the Midwest. Her coursework spanned English and Western disciplines, barn management, breeding, equine care, and pre-veterinary studies, allowing her to provide comprehensive and tailored instruction to her students. Additionally, Kristina excelled in multiple disciplines during college, including Western Dressage, Reining, Barrel Racing, Dressage, Equitation, and Hunter/Jumper, showcasing her versatility and deepening her expertise.

Experience & Teaching
In 2017, Kristina purchased her horse, Kashmir, and together they’ve trained to compete in the Utah Hunter/Jumper Association (UHJA). Over the years, Kristina and Kashmir have earned numerous ribbons and achieved significant milestones, with standout successes in 2019 and 2024. Through Kristina’s dedicated training and Kashmir’s consistent effort, they have not only excelled in the sport but also showcased the power of mutual trust, perseverance, and the unique bond between horse and rider. Kristina has also been instrumental in training her lesson horses, taking pride in their progress and accomplishments, and has facilitated several equine purchases and sales throughout her career.
Kristina has been teaching lessons for over 15 years, mentoring students of all ages and skill levels to achieve success in both riding and horsemanship. Her students have earned numerous honors, from daily lesson victories to excelling in prestigious competitions such as the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). In December 2019, Kristina graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Sciences, emphasizing Equine Science and Management.
K&B Lessons & Future Goals
K&B Lessons was founded in July 2019, and since its establishment, Kristina has helped numerous equestrians discover their love for horses while providing valuable training for the horses themselves. Riders have reached new heights in their knowledge and skills, and Kristina’s focus remains on helping both riders and horses build strong, knowledgeable relationships. While she is passionate about teaching, Kristina’s true love is helping horses thrive.
Her future goals include hosting more clinics, assisting as many horses as possible, and continuing to be a valuable resource for the equine community, improving the lives of countless horses and riders along the way.
